Alessandro Ballarin attained a diploma at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory of Music in Venice in 1982 and then improved his ability under the guide of great masters such as Roger Bobo ( Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra), Robert Tucci ( Munich Opera Orchestra), Rex Martin ( Northwestern University of Chicago), Jane Kagarice ( North Texas University) and Roger Rocco ( Chicago).

Alessandro was part of the Italian Youth Orchestra in 1989 and 1990. In this period he was taught chamber music by master Vinko Globokar and he played many soloist concerts under the supervision of master Roger Bobo He performed in different ensebles like Tuba and Piano, Tuba and Woodwind Quintet, Tuba and Viola and Brass Ensembles.

He played in many prestigious italian orchestras such as the Rai Orchestras in Torin an Rome, The Veneto Philharmonic Orchestra,The Tuscany Region Orchestra, The Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra in Milan, The Fenice Theatre Orchestra in Venice and The St. Petersburg Orchestra, and he took part in several tours abroad ( Japan, China, Poland, France, Germany, Spain, Denmark and United Arab Emirates.

He had been playing the Tuba at the Fenice Theatre in Venice between 1994 and 2014 under the guide of some of the most famous and well-know orchestra conductors at global level like R. Muti,G. Sinopoli, K. Masur, E. Inbal, L. Maazel, J,E. Gardiner, G. Pretre, K. Ono, M. Chung, Y. Temirkanov, D. Harding, M. Viotti, D. Kitaenko, R. Barshai, J. Tate, Y. Arhonovich, C. Scimone, N. Jarvi, E. Pekka Salonen, L. Berio, C. Thielemann, M. Arena, N. Santi, G. Gelmetti ( Algos Tuba solo), D. Renzetti, E. Morricone  and V. Jurowsky ( Wagner- Gotterdammerung Premio abbiati 2009).

Since 1990 he has worked as a teacher at the Conservatory of Monopoli and Rovigo. Now he is teaching Tuba at the Tomadini Conservatory in Udine.
